Today I am so excited to share with you a Spring Fashion Style Challenge I was invited to participate in with a few other bloggers by the money-saving website RetailMeNot.
I was first introduced to the site years ago by my deal-finding sister-in-law, and it has been my go-to for online and in-store shopping ever since.
RetailMeNot is a very helpful site where you can save BIG with all the latest coupon and promo codes for thousands of your favorite stores.
Even better, they now have a mobile app that will send you a notification as soon as you get to your favorite mall with all of the best deals. Awesome right?
Anyway, RetailMeNot graciously gave each participant $100 to spend towards creating a fashionable yet budget-friendly Spring-outing outfit that represents our own
personal style. I chose to go with a Spring date-night ensemble. A flirty dress in a beautiful bright color always comes in handy as my husband and I are constantly going out to dinner and movies on weekends. This outfit would also be perfect for brunch or lunch or shopping with girlfriends.
I partially shopped online using RetailMeNot coupon codes and also shopped in-store using both printable coupons and by heavily relying on their money-saving mobile app!
Here is a break-down of what I scored and the savings I had using RetailMeNot coupons:
1. Loft Textured Tulip Shift Dress – original price: $89.50; sale price in-store: $34.99; paid $18.89 (using Loft’s 50% off coupon) (saved $70.61)
2. Ann Taylor Stripe Shirt – original price: $32.00; paid $17.56 (using Ann Taylor’s 30% off coupon + went in-store to get student discount for an additional 20% off) (saved $14.44)
3. Charlotte Russe Wedges – original price: $35.50; paid $16.20 (using Charlotte Russe’s coupon shoe promo) (saved $19.30)
4. Francesca’s White Zipper Satchel – original price: $54.00; paid $43.20 using Francesca’s 20% off coupon) (saved $10.80)
TOTAL SPENT: $95.85
TOTAL SAVED: $115.15
I saved MORE than I spent!! I decided to splurge a little on the purse because it’s a dead ringer for the 3.1 Phillip Lim “it-bag” satchel and is such a staple piece!
