Memorial day is right around the corner and I am so excited to get away for the weekend.  My husband and I are headed to Lake Powell to meet my family for a weekend of fun in the hot, hot sun.  The idea of spending time in a place you don’t call home is always so enticing… I love exploring, going on new adventures and creating memories with the ones I love.  Traveling is what I live for… to breathe in and experience the beauty of this world.

One thing I have learned over the years is packing smart.  I love this francis tote by kate spade new york because not only is it a super stylish tote perfect for travel, but it also doubles as the perfect beach tote so you don’t have to pack extras for your days in the sand.  Although it is exclusive to their hampton store (17 newton in east hampton, ny 11937), you can find it on both Bloomingdales and Saks.

With that said, kate spade new york has asked that I share with you what’s in my travel tote, the first of which is a bit of technology to keep me connected to loved ones and entertained in-flight (iPad, iPhone + iPod).  I also love to bring a chic notepad on vacation with me so I can write down any creative thoughts.  Another thing I can’t live without is my beloved YSL lipstick to freshen up before landing (and keep my lips hydrated at 10,000 feet).  Similarly, I always have to bring lotion with me because I hate when my arms and hands get dry in-flight (my pet-peeve is dry hands).  Lastly, a good book and/or a magazine is an absolute must while I kick back, relax and enjoy the flight.
