Growing up I was never a fan of the shift dress. I had this fear that with my larger bust I would just ended up looking boxy. But sometimes, you just have to embrace it - especially when it's so hard to find a dress that fits in all the right places. You know what I am talking about... when the waist fits perfect but the bust is too tight so then you have to go up a size and hire a tailor. Talk about difficult.
And while the 'potato sack' dress might not sound like the most stylish of silhouettes, it's so incredibly comfortable (and perfect to hide a full tummy after a big meal haha).
If you're worried about looking 'boxy,' I recommend looking for a swinging shift that has a slight flared hem to balance out your top, like this one (and I also am in love with this free people swinging shift dress).
The dress I am wearing has the perfect amount of seventies vibe mixed with the modern geometric print.
