I don't know when it happened but somewhere along the way my mind just switched from Winter ready to Spring. One minute I was buying sweaters and jackets and the next I was gravitating towards dresses and florals. The weather has yet to catch on though (even here in Arizona). I am still lighting those fires every day haha, but I know Spring is just around the corner. So today I have partnered with my friends at Stitch Fix to share some easy tips on how to transition your look from Winter to Spring in no time!

One upside to this unpredictable weather is that you can play around with your favorite items in your closet to create the perfect Spring time look that will still keep you warm even in that Winter chill. So without further ado, here are my top tips:

Wear Lots of Layers

Layers are the key to comfortably (and stylish) transitioning your look from Winter to Spring. Simply take off or add your layers as the temps rise or fall. Here, I chose to wear my favorite (and crazy comfortable) sweater that Stitch Fix sent to me this month along with this super cute faux suede bomber jacket. Both pieces are on the lighter side but when combined they definitely help keep me warm. Heavy knits definitely scream winter but lighter layers combined are perfectly appropriate for transitioning your look to the warmer temps.

Change your colors and prints for spring

In the Winter time I am usually drawn to darker tones (especially those classic jewel tones). But when Spring starts to roll around, I love to switch it up to the lighter shades and pastel hues. It creates an all-around brighter look and just feels more like Spring. This light green bomber jacket from Stitch Fix is the perfect shade and can be paired just as well with your oxbloods as your tans.

I also usually start to leave behind the more classic Wintery plaids and start pairing my looks with a few subtle florals, like the scarf I am wearing around my neck (and eventually moved to my head haha).

Try Cropped or Rolled Up Pants

Dare to bear a little ankle and roll up your pants or pull out some of your favorite crops. Your legs will still be warm if a Winter chill rolls by but your look will definitely scream for Spring. I decided to roll up these super stretchy Joe's Jeans from Stitch Fix to not only look and feel more Springy, but also to show off my killer ankle boots. I also love pulling out my ripped denim in the Springtime that hadn't seen as much use during the winter months.

wear a bandana or small scarf

In the Wintertime I am more prone to bundle up in my favorite cozy oversized scarf before heading out the door... but in the Spring I like to be a little more toned down and subtle. I like to tie a cute bandana or small scarf around my neck to help keep me warm. If the temps heat up, I can simply move it to my hair, tie it to my bag or even around my ankle for a fun and different look.

This look was sent to me by my friends over at Stitch Fix, and it is totally perfect for Spring, don't you think?

If you aren't familiar with Stitch Fix, first of all, it's a personal styling service that was started by a Harvard Business School graduate, Katrina Lake, which I think is pretty dang cool. I love supporting my fellow boss babes doing cool things and I couldn't wait to share this cool service with you guys. It's kind of like having a best friend who knows your taste really well and just sends you cool items each month that you can either keep, or not keep. Thankfully, returns are super easy and always free. Personally I hate trying on clothes at the mall and prefer doing it at home so I can see what they look like with some of my other items in my closet. And Stitch Fix is the perfect way to do that.

Stitch Fix also carries some of my favorite brands like Joie, Splendid, Joes Jeans, Keds, Gorjana, Equipment and Rails (clearly too many to name haha).

Anyway, have you guys every tried a personal styling service before? This was my first time. My brother uses a similar service and swears by it (and I must admit, his style has gotten better ever since).
