How to get smooth summer skin

No one can blame you for throwing on that swimsuit and heading to the beach as soon as the temps rise. After all, that warm summer sun feels amazing on your skin, doesn't it? It's like, one of my favorite things to do. But after a few tan lines creep in, your skin can start to feel a bit dry and weathered. So today I wanted to share how I like to keep my summer skin smooth with three easy steps:

Wash

We all know the importance of washing up and getting clean, but it's important to select your body wash carefully. Look for products that won't dry out your skin and leaves your skin more hydrated over time. Personally, I really like Olay's five-star Fresh Outlast Collection. You guys, the entire collection smells sooooo good! And when it comes to my showers or baths, I like to get clean while smelling fresh at the same time.

For me, my showers and baths are all about feeling relaxed and unwinding (PS, Olay conducted a study and did you know that 56% of women feel the same?!). And I've always loved having a sensory-rich experience in my shower or bath that leaves me feeling relaxed, pampered, hydrated, refreshed and smelling good (uh, hello bath salts, flowers and bubble bath please). Which is why I much prefer a fresh, creamy body wash.

I am drawn to their Cooling White Strawberry & Mint Body Wash and their Invigorating Champagne & White Mango Body Wash, which, according to their identifying "scent persona," I am a trendsetter and a quality seeker, respectively. The Collection features six premium scents that are each designed to deliver a distinct shower experience that fits your every mood, lifestyle, and shower need. You can find out your "scent persona" by taking this fun quiz at OlayScentPersona.com. There's a scent for every shower!

Exfoliate

Exfoliating is important because it removes your dead skin cells and helps to expose your new, radiant skin underneath the surface. It's also an excellent way to prep your skin for your moisturizer post-shower. I like to scrub in a circular motion starting with my feet and working my way up. If you are feeling like a little extra skin TLC is needed, you can even do this step on dry skin before hopping in the water.

Moisturize

My skin loves moisture! To lock in the hydration and seal in the cracks between dry skin cells, I like to add some sesame oil to my daily moisturizer. My skin soaks it right up and stays soft and smooth longer. (It's also my secret weapon before a long flight).
