This year my husband and I decided to spend Thanksgiving on our own here in San Diego and start our own traditions. This was our first holiday as a married couple. We woke up, went for a nice run in the sun, and cooked up a storm in the kitchen together all day and watched movies. I love just having a lazy day sometimes, dancing around the house in your PJ’s while your hubby laughs at you… nothing gets better than that!

We made a 16lb. turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, cranberries, rolls, and not one but two pumpkin pies (all homemade, and all just for the two of us haha). Needless to say we have a month’s-worth (or more) of leftovers I think… but it was de-lic-ious and so worth it!!!!

It was kind of nice just spending the holiday with my hubby. No stress, easy clean-up, and nice and relaxing before finals begin next week.

Speaking of finals, wish me luck! It’s time I put the thoughts of pumpkin pie aside and bury my head in a book.

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration and didn’t get too crazy with the Black Friday madness. Cyber Monday is better anyway (shopping in PJ’s… yes please!) 😉
