Happy Tuesday.  I am sorry for my lack of outfit posts lately… things have been a bit crazy around here but I am happy to report that we have officially started on our home remodel this week.  Yay!  I can’t tell you how excited we are to finally be able to get into our new home (probably next month some time).  We have been lucky enough to stay at my parents place here in Arizona in the meantime but it will definitely be nice to finally have a home that’s ours (and unpack our lives for the first time in six months).

Our remodel shouldn’t take too long as we are trying to stay within a budget and are doing only the necessary items.  But planning a home remodel feels like I am planning a wedding all over again.  I am pretty specific when it comes to my ideas and designs and so I like to be pretty hands-on with the whole process, picking out everything from flooring and paint all the way to faucets and tile designs (this also helps to keep costs down).  Needless to say it’s been quite time consuming but I have enjoyed getting to know Arizona better by driving all over the place to different showrooms.

Anyway, in unrelated news here is what I wore for a date night this past weekend with my hubby.  I wanted to be comfy and cozy with a little bit of sexy, and I think an over-the-knee boot can take an outfit to a whole other level of sexy (my husband sure loves them).  The stripe sweater is also fun because I love the high contrast… plus I always seem to get cold throughout the day, even here in Arizona, so it’s nice to have a chic sweater on-hand that can double as a dress.
