Today is my birthday. As I re-read one of my (very highlighted, and) all-time favorite memoirs, Tuesday’s With Morrie, I came across this wise wisdom: “Embrace aging.” Although as I approach my thirties every fiber of my body wants to scream and run for the hills and hide under a rock, I have to remind myself that
with age is where beauty grows
.
True beauty is reflected in your heart, in your soul. It’s the kindness you impress upon others. The laughter in your heart. The passion you exude and share. And being comfortable in your own skin.
The latter is one that I am still learning and always working towards. But I must remind myself that I was made in the eyes of God, and God doesn’t make mistakes. What we may view as an imperfection He views as a part of his perfect creation.
So I plan on holding my head high and proudly celebrating my 29th birthday; accepting who I am and embracing my age.

With that said, today I wanted to share with you a few of my all-time favorites from over this past year. It’s fun to look back and see how much I have, or have not, changed.
