Bahamas

Happy Monday. I hope you all had a great first weekend of the year. Ben and I got in some good skiing over the weekend. It was cold but so worth it.

o heat things up I am going to take you back a few weeks to when Ben and I went to the Bahamas – you may have seen on my Instagram. Our first stop was to the Grand Bahama island, the fourth largest of the seven hundred islands, where we spent the day in Lucaya exploring and shopping around. It was fun seeing all the vibrant, happy colors… and I especially loved their ice cream.

Next, we went to Nassau where we walked right into a spectacular parade full of ornate feathered costumes, dancing, horns, whistles and cowbells… I couldn’t walk away without at least one picture.

Our trip to Nassau wouldn’t have been complete without visiting the Atlantis hotel on Paradise Island. It’s a massive hotel with several towers all surrounding their “Aquaventure” water park that includes a whopping twenty swimming areas and eleven different pools, including three kid pools. We floated down the mile-long river and rode down a few high speed water slides in between lounging. We also escaped the rain by wandering through the aquarium.

It was a fun vacation. If I were to go back I would probably spend more time at the Atlantis because we had so much fun – and there is so much to do there.
