Hello darings.  As you know, Ben and I headed to Palm Springs this past weekend to explore, relax and hang by the pool.  We had some fun in the sun but mostly I try to stay out of the direct rays and continually apply a broad spectrum SPF to protect my skin.  While I like to keep my skin healthy, I also love to have it look good…. and who doesn’t love a sexy tan?

I haven’t used a sunless tanner in a few years and have just kind of dealt with pasty skin, so I thought I was due to give it another go.  What I like most about using Jergens Natural Glow system is how easy it is to use.  You can use all products at home together, but it’s not necessary to use all, which is great.

First I started with their Color Primer in the shower to exfoliate and properly prime my skin to create a soft canvas.  It’s kind of like using a primer before you put on your makeup – it just helps the products wear better and last longer.  You can use this before applying any of Jergens tanning products.

After priming my skin, I then used the light bronze Instant Sun tanning mousse.  I applied it evenly all over my body using my hands, but I went a little lighter on areas like my elbows, ankles and knees.  Once finished, I just washed my hands using soap mixed with their exfoliating Color Primer and that did the trick to prevent stained hands if you don’t have a mitt.

To preserve my new tan, I used the Tan Extender moisturizer, which will help keep your natural-looking color up to 2x longer.  I just used this product in place of my daily moisturizer.  The cool thing about this product is though that you can use it after any tan – from a spray tan to a natural tan from the sun.

If you’re looking for gradual color, you can also check out their Natural Glow Firming Daily Moisturizer and their Daily Face Moisturizer with SPF 20 (I used their ‘Fair to Medium’ color).  This allowed me to skip my bronzer and helped cover up some of my dark spots thanks to too much fun in the sun as a kid.

Anyway, I loved the instant, but even, results that I got after using these products.  And more importantly, I got a natural looking tan without actually having to soak up harmful sun rays.  This was never something I really worried about as a kid, but as I get older and smarter I know the importance of protecting my skin.  So if you’re interested in getting a sunless tan, be sure to check these products out.
