This past Saturday Ben and I headed downtown for brunch (one of our favorite things to do) and decided to wander around and explore.  We don’t get to hang out downtown too often but there are so many cool spots, restaurants and coffee shops around with more sprouting up every day (we love Matt’s Big Breakfast, Songbird Cafe and DeSoto Public Market).  Anyway, we came across this random yellow trailer and couldn’t resist taking a few quick snaps in front of it.  I am really glad I was wearing these cute retro slingback wedges because they were super comfortable.  I have never really been much of a wedge girl but I think I need to invest in a few more pairs… I love wearing my flat sandals but my heels always hurt after walking or standing for a bit (which then of course makes my lower back hurt).  But the leather on this pair was super soft on my feet, providing a natural feel, and I didn’t have any issues as we wandered thanks to the extra cushioning in the soles.

But the best news is is that I didn’t have to sacrifice style for comfort.  This pair is super cute and I just love the unique hand-sewn leather detail and the straw-wrapped wedge.  They are perfect for Summer and I already can’t wait to pair them with my white day-dresses and turquoise add-ons.
