Today I am excited to share with you this super easy hair tutorial for a pull-through braid ponytail. It's so simple and easy to recreate, making it perfect for those days you just don't feel like spending much time on your hair.
Key Pieces
TOP: LACE TOP | SKIRT: ZIMMERMANN FLORAL SKIRT | LIPS: DIOR LIP BALM | HAIRBRUSH: WET BRUSH | ELASTICS: CLEAR ELASTICS | CLIPS: STYLING CLIPS | HAIRSPRAY: DRY BAR HAIRSPRAY
Step One:
Starting at your temples, pull your hair half up and secure with an elastic hair tie.
Step Two:
Clip up the tail the of the ponytail that you just made and then create a second ponytail below the first one, pulling the hair from the top of your ears.
Step Three:
Unclip the top ponytail and split it in half. Then, straddle those two sides around the second ponytail (I like to pull the second ponytail up and wrap the top ponytails two sides around it).
Step Four:
Before you secure your new ponytail consisting of the two sides, gather more hair to add to them (staring at the bottom of your ears).
Step Five:
Repeat steps three and four from above, adding more hair once again (this time, the remaining of your hair should be added).
Step Six:
Continue this process until you run out of hair. Once all elastics are secure, then you can "fluff" it up: with one hand holding the elastic below, pull out each section slightly to give it a more full look.
And voilá! See, I told you it was easy-peasy! If you guys try to recreate this fun braid, I would love to see how you do! Be sure to post it on Instagram and tag me (@caitlinclairexo).
