This past weekend my soon-to-be-born daughter and I were spoiled with the most incredibly beautiful and intimate Arizona baby shower with my closest near and dear at The Henry, one of my all-time favorite local restaurants. They have such a gorgeous patio and I couldn't think of a better spot to gather with friends and family to celebrate our daughter's arrival.

It was such a special day full of smiles, laughter and just straight up giddiness that this day has FINALLY come! I've been to countless baby showers in the past but have never had the joy of being the guest of honor, and I felt so incredibly lucky and special to not only have this opportunity to be a mama but to celebrate with some of the people that mean the most.

As guests continued to arrive, everyone (except me, of course) sipped on yummy mimosas and snacked on delicious macarons and frosted cookies from A Bake Shop, a local bakery, while we chatted away and caught up with one another before getting seated for a deeeeeeelicious brunch.

One of my favorite parts was when my friend Monica surprised me by reading the answers to twenty questions she had secretly asked my husband, and then asked me to answer to see if our responses matched up. And I am actually really proud to say that they did. Ben and I have always been so open about our thoughts and feelings and parenting plans. But hearing his answers aloud got me super teary-eyed: I just loved hearing his words and excitement at becoming a Dad. Baby, you're going to make the best Daddy in the whole world.

Another favorite part of the day was hearing my dear friend Kate toast our sweet little angel with the most thoughtful, kind and loving words. I had to use all my strength just to not start crying haha (pregnancy hormones man, they'll get ya). And I tell you, I am just super blessed in the friend's department.

Even my sweet friend Tara came over to help me with my hair before the shower, and seriously, she is a wizard at braids!

If you couldn't tell, the theme of the shower was "over the moon," because, we are just out-of-this-world elated to become parents. So my friend Samantha of Standard Wax created custom "I love you to the moon and back" candles (that smell sooooo amazing - they're literally my favorite candles) for game prizes while Kendra Scott generously sent over their gorgeous iridescent and gold drusy bracelets (that are reminiscent of the moons beautiful surface) and corresponding glimmering metallic nail lacquer for guests as party favors.

A Bake Shop created the most delicious moon-themed macarons, frosted cookies and chocolate cake that I can't stop drooling over. She literally hit it out the park (and into the sky haha).

My ever-talented friend Malori of Noir Floral put together the most gorgeous blush and cream flower arrangements for this special day and I wish flowers lasted forever because they're literally perfection. Seriously, I wish I had her skills and I am just so thankful to have friends like her who are so sweet and so gifted.

And Lisa of Founders Grove, an adorable Esty shop, was kind enough to lend us her beautiful peacock chair and matching side table and I am obsessed. I feel like everyone needs one of these in their lives at some point because I felt like a Mama-bird Queen haha.
