The holidays have always been my favorite time of year - and this year they have even more meaning for us with our sweet little miracle baby girl finally here with us. I love that special yuletide feeling you get when you walk into your home with the smell of fresh pine wafting through the air, the Christmas tree lights twinkling bright, baking sugar cookies happily with my mama and cozying up to the warm crackling fire. It just brings a smile to my heart. And I have always wanted to share this special time with my someday children. And I can't believe that time is finally here. So this year, I couldn't wait to begin the holiday traditions by heading to the Tim Mitchell tree farm in North Scottsdale to pick out our Christmas tree.
Normally we put up our faux Christmas tree, but this year we wanted to do something a bit different and choose a beautiful flocked Christmas tree together that we could decorate as a family. We also wanted to leave our faux tree in the box since we are staying in a rental and will have to move again in a year (makes our lives easier down the line).
But we had so much fun decorating our Christmas tree. This year, we went with a silver and gold theme (my usual favorite). We picked up most of our ornaments at West Elm (these glitter bursts are my favorite and currently on sale).
How did you guys decorate your Christmas tree this year?
