When you have a baby, suddenly everything appears through rose-colored glasses. Everything is as magical as it once was when you were a kid. And I just can't wait to show Luna the world, like I am looking at it for the first time with her. That's why this 'year of firsts' has been so much fun (so far). I love showing Luna the sky, the trees, the birds, and everything around her and how they all work, watching her eyes light up and brain hard at work taking it all in.
And this trip to Mexico was so special: it was Luna's first passport stamp. First trip out of the country. First time seeing the ocean. First time feeling the sand between her toes. First time feeling the warm ocean breeze on her cheek. And it was so amazing.
I loved watching her swim in the ocean with daddy and her look of surprise when a wave washed over her legs. Her eyes became the size of little apples and she reacted in a startled way at first but then began to smile. Ugh, I will cherish these moments and this vacation forever.
