NYFW officially wraps up today and I am so sad I missed out on the buzz and excitement of it all this season.  While NYFW can be a crazy hectic (and exhausting) time for anyone attending, it’s so exhilarating and such an honor to attend.  The moment the music came on at my very first show my heart was pounding in excitement.  I was so excited I literally lost my breath (and kind of got teary-eyed)… I know, I am such a sap.  But how the heck was I sitting there amongst all of these amazing and talented fashion insiders?  ‘How did I get here,’ I thought to myself?  This season I caught a bug though and completely lost my voice (I sounded like a squeaking mouse), so I figured I should sit this one out.  In all honestly, I also hate to travel without my husband; not only does the stress of traveling alone overwhelm me, but I literally hate being without him.

Oddly enough, I thought I would be
avoiding added stress by not attending, but it kind of had the opposite effect
on me. I don’t know if anyone else ever feels like this, but I often feel
uneasy when I feel like I am missing out on something.  When I was younger my family and I went to Africa over the summer for an amazing safari adventure, but the whole time I was worried about missing out on summer fun with my friends.  Even though I was doing something a million times cooler and way more memorable (no offense guys), I was still uneasy about missing out 

(FOMO at it’s finest, am I right).

Anyway, I watched the shows from afar and followed along with my favorite blogger gal pals to get my fashion week fix, all while snuggling up with my hubby and pups (and saving those pennies instead of forking them over on a few new fashion week worthy ensembles).

So for today’s look I wanted to
stay cute and casual.  It is warming up fast here and before we know it Spring
will be gone, and we will be in the full swing of Summer!  For anyone who plans on
visiting Arizona in the future I would highly recommend visiting during
February and March. It is the perfect weather for being outdoors, and seeing
some of the natural wonders that Arizona has to offer.  My favorite part is that
here we get to start breaking out our tank tops early.  I’m a big fan of sleeveless
peplums – they’re super girly and chic, and accent your curves.  The one I’m
wearing today goes with almost anything!  Today I paired it with a great pair of skinny denim, to give
it a casual and comfortable feel.  The denim I’m wearing is by DL1961.  If you are not familiar with their denim, my favorite part
is the fact that they don’t stretch out during the day.  Sometimes when you have
a busy day and you’re moving around a lot your denim tends to stretch out, and then
every 30 seconds you’re adjusting and pulling them up again (not
flattering).  With this denim you don’t get that problem.  They can be worn all
