You guys may remember that I switched up my skincare routine to a more natural, organic skincare routine to accommodate my nursing Luna. I want to protect my baby girl and be mindful of what I am putting both in and on my body. I read a scary statistic that said nearly twenty-perfect of personal care products contain at least one chemical linked to cancer. That is absolutely terrifying. Couple that with a woman who died from ovarian cancer by consistent use of talc-based baby powder and I am running for the door to change my lifestyle and consumption habits. Protecting Luna is my number one concern so I want to do right by her and find an organic skincare routine that would thereby be nursing safe... so I turned to the experts for help: Citrine Natural Beauty Bar. And boy do they know their stuff!

Based on my needs, here are the products Citrine recommended and their suggestions on how to use them:

Patyka Remarkable Cleansing Oil:
I use this soft oil to remove my makeup in the evenings. It's made from precious organic oils and removes your makeup while imparting essential moisture and anti-aging properties.
How to Use: Apply to dry skin over makeup, sunscreen etc... and massage in circular motions. Add water and continue to massage to create a creamy texture, then wash off with warm water.

Patyka Delicate Cleansing Foam:
I use this delicate foam following the cleansing oil in the evenings, and on its own in the mornings. It's a creamier foam that is combined with a unique complex of five natural and milk fruit acids. It protects, balances, revitalizes and promotes the renewal of skin cells thanks to its high concentration in raspberry and orange blossom waters.
How to Use: You can apply this directly on top of the cleansing oil or or it's own. Massage into the skin and enjoy the cooling sensations. Remove with water.

Tata Harper Concentrated Brightening Essence (Toner):
Citrine informed me that toners will help your serums and moisturizers to penetrate deeper and thus work even better for your skin. This one is lightweight yet highly potent and delivers an instantly refined, radiant look with dramatic long-erm lightening effects. It has a delicate infusion of Alpha and Beta Hydroxy technology that tones your complexion, minimizes pores and visibly fades the appearance of dark spots and hyper pigmentation for a more even, luminous glow.
How to Use: Shake the product and pump a couple of times into the palm of your hand, close palms to wet both hands and gently press the product into your face.

Kypris Antioxidant Dew (Serum):
This multi-action serum quenches your dehydrated skin while strengthening the skin barrier with antioxidant protection. Nutrient, vitamin and antioxidant-rich Hawaiian Sea Algae deeply hydrates the skin to replenish its moisture balance without clogging pores. This serum also helps to calm any redness or inflammation. This is a Citrine favorite and will help to balance, smooth and bring radiance back to your skin.
How to Use: Pump one or two times into your fingertips and gently press into your skin.

Kypris Moonlight Catalyst (Nighttime Treatment):
This serum is a natural alternative to retinol, where you see brighter skin and refined pore size, without thinning or drying your skin. It contains a fermented pumpkin enzyme that softens the skin and decreases the appearance of environment over exposure with a refining exfoliation action. Unlike retinol though, the Moonlight Catalyst has an antioxidant-rich Hawaiian Sea Algae that deeply hydrates the skin to replenish moisture.
How to Use: Use this product in the evenings only, in place of your morning serum. Remember to cleanse it off in the morning after your nighttime use.

May Lindstrom Youth Dew (Serum/Oil Emulsion):
This over-the-top hydrating, healing potion transforms the skin with twenty ambitiously balancing and regenerating plant and botanical oils infused with time-stopped CoQ10. Signs of sun damage and hyperpigmentation are reversed with Vitamin C. It will balance your skins natural oil production to prevent breakouts and keep your skin looking healthy and radiant.
How to Use: I like to mix this with my Moonlight Catalyst in the evenings.

May Lindstrom Clean Dirt (Mask):
This is an energizing blend of cleansing clays and healing salts that lift impurities with a surge of H20 activated Vitamin C while encouraging cellular rejuvenation and increased blood flow. It's acts as a great exfoliant and leaves your skin velvety smooth and radiant.
How to Use: I keep this cleanser in my shower and about once a week I'll sprinkle a teaspoon amount into the palm of my hand. With my other, wet hand, I will drip a few drops of water onto the dirt and use my fingertips to mix and let foam. Then I apply the foamy mouse to my face, massaging in circular motions, and let sit 2-10 minutes as a warming, correcting mask.

May Lindstrom Honey Mud (Mask):
This is honestly my all-time favorite mask. It's great for its hydration and anti-inflammatory properties because it contains raw honey, white halloysite clay and aromatic pure plant oils. It gently frees you of the day's pollutants, infusing your skin with active enzymes and nourishment while restoring optimal hydration. It's great for breakouts and inflamed skin but also works for every skin type.
How to Use: Honestly this can also be used as a cleanser but I prefer to use as a mask. To wear as a mask, leave this product on your face for as long as you want, but Citrine recommended for at least 20-30 minutes and then rinse with warm water and follow with the above skin regimen.
