I am sooooooo excited to share our beautiful laundry room with you guys, in all her glory. Is she not the prettiest laundry room you have ever seen?! Maybe I am bias, but I am obsessed. So much so, that I actually ENJOY doing laundry. Talk about a life-enhancing game changer. I could truly spend hours in here washing and folding. Is this real life?!

Our architect, Form 180, and our designer, The Lifestyled Co. truly hit this one out of the park. That arched window? Dead. The shiplap? Dead. The floating shelves? Dead. The black dutch door? Dead.

It really pays to have a dedicated team behind you who can see your vision and enhance it with thoughtful, elevated concepts.

Some of my must-have items included "a black sink, a black dutch door to the backyard, a powerful brass or black faucet to wash out stains, hanging space to dry clothes, a space for roller laundry baskets and a dog bed." They literally accomplished everything I asked for and ran with my inspiration images in the best way possible.

I also knew I wanted a bright, inviting and inspiring space to do laundry and requested windows wherever I could get them. There is something about natural light that just brightens my mood. The beautiful arched window in the center of the space coupled with the inswing dutch door add light (and charm) and I couldn't love them more. Added bonus? I love that I can theoretically watch the girls (when they're a bit older) play outside while accomplishing household chores. Every mom's dream, am I right?

And functionally, I love that the laundry room serves as an access point to-and-from the backyard. The kids can come in from the pool and drop their wet towels directly in the laundry before scampering off to their rooms. It's so nice that we don't have to come in through the great room while dripping water from our bathing suits. These are the types of things a designer thinks about and I am so glad we chose to work with The Lifestyled Co. to make our dream home come to fruition.

We worked with clé tile to select our floor and I am obsessed with how it turned out. Their eskayel cement tile is so kaleidascopically complex and playful yet calming. If you are planning on adding a cement tile to your space, I highly recommend and you can read some of my tips here.

For the sink, Kristen from The Lifestyled Co. suggested creating a custom black concrete sink with Compound Concrete, a local concrete fabricator, and it was the perfect addition to the space. The matte black texture elevated the laundry room to feel that much more unique.

For the countertops, originally we were going to go with a simple white quartz to let the black concrete sink stand out, but we decided to change it up and I am really glad we did. The black quartz with the white veining pulls it all together and I don't feel like it took anything away from the black sink. It serves as a nice contrast between the bright floors and white shiplap.

When selecting the hardware, I knew that I wanted something that added texture and warmth, and these neutral, rattan handles paid off. They're fun and unexpected, which is exactly what I was going for.

For the cabinetry, our designer talked us into going flat front and at first I was a little hesitant because I have grown accustomed to seeing shaker style. But the flat front looks so sleek and truly compliments the space.

And lastly, I had seen floating shelves all over Pinterest and knew I wanted to somehow incorporate them into this home, but I wasn't sure how. The laundry provided the perfect space and really lends itself for an unexpected styling moment.

If you are in the process of designing or remodeling a home, I highly recommend rethinking your laundry room and giving it a little extra flair. Hire a designer and think outside the box.

What do you guys think? Do you love this laundry room as much as I do? Give it some love, leave a comment and share!
