The holiday's are a magical time of year… and even more so with kiddos. It’s like I am reliving the excitement I had as a kid all over again and seeing it through a child's eyes once more. I literally can’t wait to go home to Park City this year and play in the snow, drink hot cocoa and sit by the fire with my angel babe.
While last year was Luna’s first Christmas, she was only eight weeks old. So this year, I am super super suuuuuuuper excited to celebrate the holidays with my baby girl and can’t wait to see the utter excitement in her eyes. My little walking, talking baby girl who LOVES her playtime.
And I feel totally prepared and in-the-know this year on the best of the best toys because I was lucky enough to travel to Arkansas back in July to attend Walmart’s Top Rated By Kids event. It's where Walmart looks to the kids to actually play with the toys and rate them in order to predict the ones that are going to be the hottest toys for the holidays. So you could say, Walmart really knows what’s up.
Luna got to play with and select her top five and I am so excited to share those with you guys, so be sure to stay tuned on my social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) to get a sneak peek.
So if you are starting to think about your holiday shopping (and it’s never too early), you should check out America’s Best Toy Shop featuring all of the latest and greatest (and the amazing deals that coincide). Walmart expanded their in-store toy assortment by 30% and online toy selections by 40% (holy smokes, that’s a lot of toys). Because, when it comes to toys, Walmart doesn’t play around.
If the kids are looking to get a jump start on their holiday wishlists, stop by your local Walmart Supercenter for the “Wishlist Event” tomorrow, November 3rd, from 1-4pm. You can get a copy of the Kids Catalog to look through all of the best toys Walmart has to offer or just let your kids have fun and play with some of the season’s coolest toys!
Have you guys ever shopped Walmart’s aisles for toys? INSANE. They have EVERYTHING at great low prices… including exclusive toys from top brands! If you head to Walmart.com you can filter toys by age, gender, popularity, special offers, brands, characters and more.
I generally like to filer by age. My goal when looking for toys for Luna is to find those that stimulate, entertain, and encourage learning and creativity. I love stacking and sorting toys to help with her hand-eye coordination, learning of shapes and colors and development of motor skills, but I also love age-appropriate cars and toys that move to help her push and chase them to help build her physical strength. Bonus points if they have a musical or educational element to them.
Anyway, check us out here on Walmart’s website as a Top Rated by Kids Influencer. So cool.
And a special thank you to Walmart for including us in this exciting event and opportunity, and for sponsoring this blog post. As always, all opinions are my own but I appreciate you supporting the brands that help support this blog and make it all possible.
