Taking you back to Mexico, I wanted to share with you all a must-do while visiting the Riviera Maya. One of my favorite views comes from the Mayan Ruins of Tulum. You simply can't beat the ocean views from the bluffs while surrounded by beautiful coastal ruins and white sandy beaches below.
While the views make help to make this location extra special, you can also learn a lot about the history of Tulum and the Mayans. Every time I visit Mexico I always make it a point to stop by the Tulum ruins.
If you are going to visit, I definitely recommend going early. The site opens at 8am and you can catch a bit of sunrise, depending on the time of year, and beat the crowds. Tour buses tend to arrive around 11am, and I don't know about you, but I prefer to always sightsee without hordes of tourists around me.
I also don't recommend parking at the Tulum ruins entrance. They make you pay to park and take a little shuttle to the ruins. Instead, I prefer to drive towards the beach in Tulum and park along the main beach road as close as I can and just walk a bit. Then afterwards, hop back in your car and drive down the beach to your favorite restaurant for brunch and cocktails.
For our visit, I wore this adorable colorful skirt and crop top set, which was perfect for the setting. The flowing, full-bodied skirt caught the wind on the bluffs just right, and the vibrant color and dreamy floral print felt worldly. The set also flatters any figure, and the drawstring waistband is super comfortable.
Wear this look as a set or pair the skirt with a white blouse or a rocker tee and rugged boots for an effortless edge.
