For our second day sailing in the British Virgin Islands, we sailed in the morning from Peter Island to Cooper Island to pick up a mooring ball (to safely secure our boat overnight without having to anchor and disturb coral and sea life).  We had heard that Cooper Island is a popular spot and tends to fill up quickly – plus it’s an island that you don’t want to miss.

Aside from the gorgeous white sandy beaches and crystal clear turquoise waters prime for snorkeling, the Cooper Island Beach Club is seriously so darling – from the club decor to the bar and coffee shop to the on-point boutique carrying plenty of Mara HoffmanMar Y Sol + Hat Attack (my favorites).  And if you’re a certified scuba diver, you can rent a tank from the local dive shop to dive “wreck alley,” where a number of vessels have been sunk.

Anyway, after spending our afternoon on the beach exploring, relaxing and drinking way too many piña coladas and iced lattes – we headed back to the boat to shower, change and get ready for dinner back at the beach club (their roasted chicken breast was so delicious).  I don’t know about you though, but whenever I head to the beach I swear I always end up showering (read: washing my hair) more than twice as much as I normally do at home thanks to the salt, sand and sweat.  If you’re anything like me, I found that doubling up on my conditioner helps, and be sure to gently brush your hair when it’s wet and feeling brittle (I love the wet brush)!

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed day two of our sailing trip… stay tuned for day three!
